The Expanding Perimeter of Ignorance models knowledge as an area whose boundary touches the unknown. As the known area grows, its perimeter also grows, exposing questions that could not be seen from the earlier position. Instead of selecting one supposedly ultimate question, the learner maps current understanding, identifies unknowns at the edge, and checks whether each proposed question is meaningful given present concepts and evidence.
